A slate of new Permian Basin processing plants propelled Enterprise Products Partners LP’s natural gas processing and transportation volumes to record levels, while more projects on the board could help meet a potential surge in demand to power data centers.

During the third quarter, natural gas processing volumes increased by 10.3% year/year to 7.5 Bcf/d. Piped natural gas flows increased to 19.1 TBtu/d, versus 18.4 TBtu/d in 3Q2023.

“We benefited from the three new natural gas processing plants and wide natural gas price spreads between Waha and other market hubs,” co-CEO Jim Teague said Tuesday during the 3Q2024 earnings conference.
